Coaching Tips To Get Your Clients to Do What They Don’t Want to Do: Accountability Coaching Strategy

Are You Curious What Coaching Strategy Works Best When You Need to Hold Your Client Accountable?

.

Accountability coaching strategy is more than just yelling at someone when they don’t follow through with a commitment they made with you.  They can do that themselves.  What if you had some coaching tips that would allow you to powerfully and eloquently hold your clients accountable?  What type of results would you get?  How much more would you and your clients enjoy the coaching process?  Follow these three coaching tips and you will have a coaching strategy that really makes a difference.  When all is said and done, accountability is not just a script; it’s a process.

Accountability Coaching Strategy Step # 1:  Instruct the client on why you are having this conversation with them.  The coaching tip for this step is about leading your clients to an awareness of their level of power with their commitments.  Clarify with your client that his/her commitment has been broken.

Accountability Coaching Strategy Step #2:  Help your clients see the impact of breaking their commitment.  In this coaching tip you want to be able to cause your clients to value or honor their word and their commitments.  Have your clients connect giving their word with what they value most, and have the client connect breaking their commitments with what they most want to avoid.  You want your clients to see how impossible it is to get what they want if they continue to break commitments.  You also want your client to be aware of the cost of breaking their commitments in the coaching relationship.

Accountability Coaching Strategy Step #3:  The last coaching tip is to have a leadership conversation with your client.  This entails getting them to do what they don’t want to do.  Empower your client to make a true possibility based choice rather than a past -based choice in the matter of their commitments and being true to their word.  Train your client in creating a powerful relationship of integrity between their words and their actions and set up positive conditioning and reinforcement systems for the new relationship that the client has with their promises.

Implementing These Coaching Tips Can Help You Change Your Clients Lives

.

Going through these coaching tips allows you to have a life changing conversation with your clients.  This coaching strategy gives you the ability to have conversations with your clients that they would never have with friends and family.  And the best part of it is that you can actually end the conversation on a positive note, even hearing a change in the tonality of your client’s voice.  They will literally thank you for making a difference in their lives.
