Coaching for Success in 2010: The Success Coaching Recipe for Your Most Successful Year Ever

Coaching For Success in 2010

.

What if coaching for success was as easy as a five step recipe?  Lives would transform, testimonials would fly in, and your success coaching practice would be full.  Coaching for success can be fun and simple.  And while a five step program seems too simple, it’s getting people to implement the system that will be your challenge as a success coach.

Follow These Five Steps to Help Your Success Coaching Clients Achieve More

.

Success Coaching Step 1:  Have your clients focus on daily activity.  Coaching for success needs to go beyond the vision board.  Without consistent activity, a well thought out strategy is doomed.  But those who take massive action often succeed despite not having the best plan.

Success Coaching Step 2:  Track activity.  Coaching for success means providing motivation, and tracking alone is very motivating.  It gives a sense of accomplishment, a goal to achieve, and a sense of when a day is done.  For example, someone who relies on cold calling in sales will know when they are “due” for a sale.  A real estate agent who knows the industry standard for prospecting is ten hours a week and tracks their calls will know why they are or aren’t meeting their goals.

Success Coaching Step 3:  Identify which activities are key and do those before ‘busy’ work items.  I can’t count how many times clients will tell me that before they get into action they need to clean up their office.  Coaching for success means not buying into non-productive activities and holding your clients accountable to what matters most.

Success Coaching Step 4:  Don’t let how your clients feel stop them from doing what needs to be done.  Uncovering limiting beliefs is great, but nothing is transformed until a result is produced.  Most of the time what is stopping your clients from achieving their goals is the very fear that prevents them from committing to coaching, cold calling, or even sending out an email to a potential client.  Success coaching is about getting your clients to move beyond their limitations.

Success Coaching Step 5:  Get your clients to stop winging it.  Coaching for success may include strategy, script writing, or sales or marketing training.  Winging it is not reproducible nor does it provide consistent results.  And knowing what is working is as important as knowing what isn’t.
