There is no difference between changing the world through life coaching and watching T.V. You’re just doing something else. But some proverbial questions come to mind. At the end of your life, what will you look back on? Will you wish you had watched more television? Or will you wish you had made a bigger difference in the world? In the coaching world most people would probably choose the later.
The Tongue In Your Shoe Doesn’t Lie
.
Your activities do matter. In the movie, ‘Forrest Gump’, Forrest is talking to someone in a park. He says, “You can tell a lot about people by the shoes they’re wearing. Where they’ve been and where they’re going. “ Similarly, as a life coach I can tell a lot about people by their goals. Where they are and where they’re going. But it’s not the goals that are the most important. It’s the actions people take toward those goals. That action takes energy…much more energy than watching T.V.
How To Get Off The Sofa And Start Working In Life Coaching Business
.
The first step is to create energy toward where your dreams are. Visualize your dream. Creating a new identity is one of the simplest forces. It just takes repetition. Every night before you go to bed, in relaxed and comfortable state, visualize what you want to create. As you are falling asleep, your brain will start connecting being relaxed and comfortable with those things you imagine. This will help you overcome the resistance to getting into action that getting stressed out causes.
.
With time and repetition, this process will help to strengthen results you want to achieve in any given area. Although this process doesn’t seem like work, you can actually get life coaching clients while expending less energy than watching television.
