Personal Growth Coaching to Help Your Life Coaching Client’s Deal With Their Fears

In personal growth coaching or life coaching, all your clients will have to deal with fear.  We all have fear.  Fear is a normal emotion and natural for your personal growth coaching client to have.  Fear in fact can be a positive thing because it can prevent us from harm.  But what causes fear?

Personal Growth Coaching:  the More Your Life Coaching Client Knows, the Less They Fear

.

One common cause of your personal growth coaching client’s fear is ignorance.  When your client has limited information about something, their doubts dominate their mind.  They become tense and insecure about the outcome of their actions. They will wonder if they take action whether it will work at all.  Ignorance can cause your life coaching client to fear change, the unknown and to avoid trying anything different.

The personal growth coaching here is that the reverse is also true.  The act of gathering more and better information about a subject increases our courage and confidence in that area.  Your life coaching client can see this in the parts of their life where they have no fear at because they know what they are doing.  They feel competent and completely capable of handling whatever happens.

Personal Growth Coaching:  Your Life Coaching Client Can Minimize Fear by Improving Their Health

.

Two other factors that contribute to your life coaching client’s fear are illness and fatigue.  When you give your client personal growth coaching, you must include their health.   That is why life balance is so essential in the coaching relationship.  When they are tired or feel unwell, or when they are in a poor physical condition, your client is more predisposed to fear and doubt.

Personal Growth Coaching to Get Your Life Coaching Client to be More Concerned About What’s Right Than Who’s Right

In life coaching and personal growth coaching, your client’s will generally resist getting out of their comfort zone.  Because of fear of failure, the majority of your personal growth coaching clients will resist change.  The law of inertia states “a body in motion tends to remain in motion unless acted upon by an outside force.”  This outside force needs to be your life coaching.

Personal Growth Coaching:  Your Life Coaching Clients Hate to be Wrong

.

People need personal growth coaching because they tend to keep doing the same things day after day and year after year simply because they are comfortable doing them.  Another challenge is ego.  Most people hate to be wrong.  Even if it is clear they are wrong, they hate to admit it.  You life coaching clients will have the tendency to avoid admitting they made a mistake or they may blame it on someone else.  The challenge with that is we are all wrong a lot of the time, simply because things change so quickly around us.

Personal Growth Coaching Your Life Coaching Client to be More Flexible

.

Your personal growth coaching client must develop flexibility on the path to their goals and dreams.  They must be willing to accept your life coaching and feedback from the environment around them and make corrections.  They must be more concerned with what’s right than who’s right.

Your life coaching client may feel that admitting mistakes and changing direction is a sign of being weak or having no direction.  Your personal growth coaching needs to help them understand that change for a good reason is a sign of personal strength and courage.   Weak people attempt to cover up their mistakes.  Strong people admit them quickly and then make an adjustment.  Help your coaching client to be clear about what their goal is, but to be flexible about the process of achieving it.  If you are successful, you are a lot more likely to change their life forever.

Life Coaching 2010: Personal Growth Coaching Tips to Embrace the Future

With These Personal Growth Coaching Tips You Can Make 2010 Your Best Year Yet

.

How can you optimize your life coaching business for 2010?  What personal growth coaching lessons will you decide to embrace?  I hope that 2009 was a great year and that you are looking forward to another great year.  But what if you missed your mark?  Will you seek some personal growth coaching to help you transform yourself, or will you hang up your life coaching hat and give up?  Here are the top five tips to help make this year great.

Looking For the Top Five Life Coaching Tips?  Look No Farther

.

Personal Growth Coaching Tip #1:  Learn how to embrace sales.  Let’s put it this way, if you want a life coaching business you’re going to have to enroll people.  Enroll is just the polite way of saying ‘sell.”  If you have a negative perception of sales, it will affect your ability to enroll people into coaching.  You can give the greatest complimentary session and have the best rapport, only to loose the client in the close because of your negative beliefs.  It’s time to let those go.

Personal Growth Coaching Tip #2:  Surround yourself with positive people.  Your top five friends determine who you are.  Decide to spend your time with people who ask questions like, “Where can I find new life coaching clients?” and “What new opportunities are available?”  Avoid pity parties and people who want to drag you down with them.

Personal Growth Coaching Tip #3:  Look for new business relationships.  When times are lean, people tend to be more open to joint ventures and reciprocal referral relationships.  Who has your ideal client but a different product or service to offer?  Talk to people and see where you can offer value to services they already provide.  Perhaps you have a friend who specializes in sales coaching and your niche is life coaching for people with diabetes.  You might be able to set up cross referrals.

Personal Growth Coaching Tip #4:  Mind your mind.  Focus on opportunities instead of allowing yourself to waste time worrying.  Most of the time our greatest worries never manifest.  Focus on what you want to accomplish in your life coaching business, your relationships, and what you want to help others to achieve.

Personal Growth Coaching Tip #5:  Take massive action.  This is a proven method of success.  The key to this life coaching tip is to continue taking massive action through the waves of despair that often cause people to give up.  Just like every movie where the hero or heroine transforms from an ordinary person into the person they were destined to become, we all experience a struggle right before we succeed.

Personal Growth Coaching: How To Get Your Life Coaching Clients To Achieve Their Goals

In life coaching and personal growth coaching, helping your clients achieve their goals is key to success. Most of the time your life coaching clients will not know how to get the results they want. In personal growth coaching, you will have to help your clients put goals in writing. Most people have never really set goals, let alone write them down. We will consider a couple of ways to influence your life coaching clients to write down their goals.

Personal Growth Coaching: How To “Break The Ice” Of The Subconscious Mind

.

Have you ever gone to bed thinking about a problem, then in the middle of the night you woke up with the answer? In personal growth coaching the conscious mind is just the tip of the iceberg. I mean that literally. Your life coaching client’s mind is like an iceberg. You can only see 10% of an iceberg above the surface of the water. That 10% represents the conscious mind. That leaves 90% of the iceberg under water. That 90% represents the subconscious mind. Writing goals down will activate your client’s subconscious mind during their personal growth coaching to find ways to achieve the life coaching goal they are aiming for.

Your Life Coaching Clients Can Only Get So Far On Their Own

.

Many of your life coaching client’s goals will require help from other people. One personal growth coaching skill will be to help your clients to clearly communicate their goals to others. When your client goes through the process of writing down their goals in personal growth coaching, they will improve at communicating their goals to themselves. Once they have communicated their goals to themselves, then they will improve in communicating them to others.

Helping your life coaching clients to write their goals down is essential for two reasons. One reason is to activate their subconscious mind to help them achieve their goal. The other reason is to communicate their goals to others. Other people must know what your client’s goals are to help your client. Doing this type of personal growth coaching will give your client a skill that will serve them the rest of their life.
