How to Increase your Life Coaching Salary in the Next 2 Weeks: Practical Life Coaching Business Tips

September 28th, 2009

Your life coaching salary depends on one thing: getting paying clients.  If you are serious about learning how to increase your life coaching salary, you can start seeing results in 2 weeks or less by following these life coaching business tips.

Life Coaching Business Tips to Secure Your Life Coaching Salary

.
The first of these life coaching business tips is to maximize the value you provide your potential clients in the free session.  Give them your best, as if it was their only chance of ever getting coaching.  Don’t think about trying to increase your life coaching salary.  Devote yourself entirely to getting a result for that client.

The second part of these this life coaching business tips is to properly enroll your potential client in the complimentary session.  Make big promises.  Tell them that as the result of their session they will get really clear with their top 3 goals, find out what’s really holding them back from achieving them, and that they should expect to move forward in at least of their goals.  Remember, your life coaching salary depends on making those big promises a reality.

What else can you do to increase your life coaching salary?  Ask for referrals.  Especially if you have just helped your client get a great result.  If you have really helped someone during a complimentary session and that person is unable enroll in coaching with you, they are very likely to want to help you with your life coaching business.  As long as you don’t take their ‘no’ to coaching as a ‘no’ to you.

Life Coaching Business Tips Only Go So Far — You Have to Care About More than Your Life Coaching Salary

.
And the most important of these life coaching business tips is to do what you can, when you can do it.   If you can squeeze out an extra hour of prospecting or marketing, then do it.  Whether having an unstoppable attitude will help you because you get more done or because others notice it and take you more seriously, remember your life coaching salary is a reflection of how you show up.  Have a clear vision of where you want your life coaching business to be, and take consistent action toward your goal.

Who’s Going to Drink This Kool-Aid? What’s It Really Going to Take to Have a Successful Life Coaching Business With a Decent Life Coaching Salary?

August 21st, 2009

There is a tipping point in your life coaching business where you work long hours and don’t see anything happening, and then all of a sudden everything falls into place and you’re enjoying all the benefits of your hard work.  At that point, you finally start earning a decent life coaching salary.  Most people never get past that point in their life coaching business, however.  For one reason or another, they get discouraged and give up.  Often right before they get the life coaching salary they were looking for.

Life Coaching Salary Can Push You to the Edge

.
If you look at this objectively, how can you blame them?  You can work hard for months before you even start earning enough of a life coaching salary to justify your existence as a coach.  Your life coaching business seems to take over your whole life and every aspect of your free time.  You start to wonder what you might do if you had a job with set hours, and a steady check.

What Can You Do When Your Life Coaching Business Feels Hopeless?

.
Instead of having a great lifestyle, you work all the time for a life coaching salary that isn’t going to cover your library book fines.  Your family and friends think you’re nuts.  It’s hard to see the forest for the trees, because you’re lost.  You think about quitting the life coaching business and taking a job.  Then the sad truth revels itself and you realize you can’t work for anyone else because you drank the Kool-Aid.  You can never go back.  So what can you do?

  • Option #1: Cry to your mentor.  While it seems like the best answer at first, unless you have a great mentor, it will only make things worse.  It’s not going to help your life coaching business or your life coaching salary.
  • Option #2: Quit the life coaching business.  This is the most common choice, but what if you are really at that tipping point?  What if you are on the verge of finally making it and earning a great life coaching salary?  You’ll never know, and that alone is enough to make you try the third option.
  • Option #3: Put your nose to the grindstone and don’t look up.  Make it happen.

A Life Coaching Business Requires the Same Perseverance as Life Coaching Does

.

In order to have a chance at earning a decent life coaching salary, you have to continue to work through this challenging point.  To become a coach with a successful life coaching business, most people have to grow so much that it would be simpler to sign up for a frontal lobotomy.  To avoid getting discouraged, look back to see how far you have come instead of trying to figure out much further you need to travel.  Enjoy the journey, and the view from the top will be all the sweeter.

Life Coaching Salary on Steroids: How to Get Life Coach Clients to Commit To a Long Term Coaching Contract

July 12th, 2009

The Life Coaching Salary Problems Associated With How to Get Life Coach Clients to Make That Long Term Commitment

.

Your life coaching salary is going to increase by 50% when you use this technique to learn how to get life coach clients to stay around for 6 months minimum.  The first element that’s very important is to get your client to agree right up front that they will do 6 months of coaching with you no matter what.  In fact, I always tell my clients that we won’t even work with someone that doesn’t commit to 6 month minimum of coaching.  Also include a written coaching agreement that they have to sign that has them commit to the 6 month minimum in writing.  Those are keys for how to get life coach clients to make that kind of long term coaching agreement with you.

Sometimes clients will resist signing up for coaching with you simply because you expect them to commit to 6 months of coaching minimum.  This is totally understandable, but hard to focus on when you’re thinking about your life coaching salary.  They don’t want to get stuck in an agreement that they can’t afford or get stuck with something they don’t want to do any more.

How to Get Life Coach Clients to Commit To 6 Months of Coaching or More

.

Here is a key for how to get life coach clients to make that 6-month commitment when your client objects to it.  Just tell them this:

“Look, I understand if you are concerned whether or not you’ll be able to afford this for a whole 6 months, but I’m your coach. I care about your results and if you are broke and can’t make ends meet, we are not going to go repossess your house because you’re not paying your coaching fees.  That’s just not going to happen.  I’m not saying that you won’t owe us the money, and I’m not saying that I won’t expect you to follow through on your commitment to coaching for that 6-month period of time. But if you are in dire financial situations, I won’t be another negative for you. As a coach my commitment is to be a positive force in your life.  This commitment you’re making to 6 months of coaching is a positive commitment, not some financial obligation, so don’t think of it that way.”

“It is true that the financial and time commitments are going to put some pressure on you, but that’s the point.  That pressure is a good thing because, frankly, if we don’t put that kind of pressure on you – if you don’t make a LONG TERM commitment to your positive future – then this whole coaching thing is a waste of time for you and you should just resign yourself to living the same life you’ve been living.  But I know you’re committed to more than that for yourself, and that’s why this commitment is something that I demand of you (and you should demand of yourself).  I already make a good life coaching salary.  This commitment isn’t for me. It’s for you.”

Why is This Good For The Client? Does Your Life Coaching Salary ‘Give Back’?

.

Ultimately, your life coaching salary should benefit from all your client and coaching relationships, but with all the different techniques coaches use to help their business coaching clients, how to get life coach clients to stick around for 6 months or more is a benefit to them.  Here are some of the important benefits that they client gets when they stick around for a long term coaching relationship:

Benefit #1: They have time to implement the coaching and get results.

Benefit #2: They have time to build the positive habits that will keep them successful for life.

Benefit #3: They have time to create the results they asked for out of the coaching.

Benefit #4: They are forced to go through the tough changes (that usually happen after the 2nd month of coaching) that make a bigger difference for them.

Benefit #5: You have time to get to know them better and have more chances to find the keys to changing their business for the better.

Benefit #6: They take coaching for a serious test drive to see if it really makes sense to make an even longer term commitment to the coaching relationship.

Life Coaching Salary Can Motivate You to Learn How to Get Life Coach Clients and Keep Them!

.

When you use the different techniques coaches use for how to get life coach clients to commit to 6 months of coaching, then you’ll not only increase your life coaching salary, but also help even more of your clients to achieve their aspirations.  Don’t let a good client or the possibility of a great success slip through your (or your coaching client’s) fingers.

Increase your Life Coaching Salary by Creating a Valuable Intake Package: How to Get Life Coach Clients Excited About Coaching With You

June 23rd, 2009

How to Get Life Coach Clients to Increase the Length of Time They Work With You While Adding More Money to Your Life Coaching Salary

.

When you are thinking about your life coaching salary, think about adding an intake package to your process when you sign up new coaching clients.  When new coaching clients sign up for coaching, your coaching client will be the most likely to want to learn about coaching while figuring out how to be a good coaching client.  This is why it’s important to think about how to get life coach clients into an optimal relationship with you by using an intake package.

The beginning of a coaching relationship is when they form all their ideas about what coaching really is.  This is also your chance to get your client to form an idea of your value and the value of coaching.  Your client is just entering into this new world that you’re opening up for them, and for that reason you’ll want to take advantage of this time with an intake package.

We all know that you’ve got to handle how to get life coach clients, but a key to a life coaching salary is to provide a highly valuable and educational intake package for your coaching clients when they first sign up for life or business coaching with you.  Below I will explain why to use your intake package to increase your life coaching salary, and how to get life coach clients to be your favorites by using the intake package in your coaching relationships.

Life Coaching Salary Secret:  Use an Intake Package When Thinking About How to Get Life Coach Clients Into Long Term Coaching Arrangements With You

.

The intake package is a package of materials and processes that you provide to your client when they first sign up for coaching.  This can include assessments and paperwork for your coaching client to fill out (kind of like the stuff you fill out on a clipboard when you first visit a new doctor), but it can also include a full binder of material about you and your coaching, as well as added supplies that they would need to get the most out of your life or business coaching (think of the informational binder that many nice hotels provide when you show up in your hotel room).

Why Try to Use Your Intake Package to Increase Your Life Coaching Salary?  Read Below to Learn How to Get Life Coach Clients to Make Your Life Easy With an Intake Package

.

Why use an intake package in the first place?  Will an intake package really increase your life coaching salary in more ways than just charging the fee associated with it?  Here are a few of the most important reasons to use an intake package with your coaching:

Reason #1: It educates your coaching client about coaching. Usually new coaching clients don’t know jack about coaching.  Why not teach them BEFORE they get started with you in coaching?

Reason #2: It makes your client easier to coach. The question of how to get life coach clients to become easy clients to coach can be partly answered by the intake package.  An educated client will be easier to coach.  A client that knows how to BE a good client will be easier to coach.  A client that knows all your accomplishments and accolades will be easier to coach because they have reasons look up to you more.

Reason #3: It makes your client stick around longer in coaching. How to get life coach clients to stay in coaching?  Easy… just add things to your intake package that makes your coaching client perceive quality coaching as rare and valuable service.

Reason #4: It can give you valuable information about your client. One important way to increase your life coaching salary is to learn as much about your client as possible BEFORE they begin coaching with you.  You can include assessments and forms in your intake package that your life coaching clients need to fill out and then you can review them.  When you have more information about your client, you’ll be able to coach them longer, and be more effective as a coach throughout the life coaching experience.

The Ultimate Idea About How to Get Life Coach Clients to Keep Paying Your Fee And Increase Your Life Coaching Salary: The Intake Package

.

You can include all sorts of important things in your intake package that can literally ‘program’ your client to create the best possible situation in coaching for both you and them.  If you are thinking about how to get life coach clients, that is a great start, but the intake package can continue your growth and journey to life coach success as well as a high life coaching salary.  Use an intake package and watch your coaching relationships get easier and more profitable right before your eyes.

Life Coaching Salary Secrets: How to Get Life Coach Clients to Pay Extra When They Sign up for Coaching With You

June 21st, 2009

New coaches are always so concerned about how to get life coach clients that they forget about two very important issues that go way beyond getting new coaching clients:

1.  Life coaching salary

2.  How to KEEP your coaching clients paying for your life coaching services.

When a new coaching client signs up for life or business coaching with you, it’s a very special time.  This is the time when your coaching client will probably be most excited about coaching.  This is also your biggest chance to profit from your customer, the reason being their exceptional amount of excitement for entering into coaching with you right now. There’s no doubt that you’ve got to handle the question about how to get life coach clients, but one key to a high life coaching salary is to charge an intake fee when they first sign up for life or business coaching with you.

How to Get Life Coach Clients to Give You More Cash and Increase Your Life Coaching Salary: The Intake Fee & Intake Package

An intake fee is a common fee that can help you increase your life coaching salary.  Many coaches charge an intake fee, so it’s no big deal to add it to your agenda of things that need to be done when you sign up your coaching clients.  In this article, I’ll address how to get life coach clients to pay you more money by adding an intake fee.

How to Get Life Coaching Clients to Pay You a Bit More By Using an Intake Fee: A Key to Higher Life Coaching Salary

There are many reasons to use an intake fee:

1.  Your life coaching salary immediately increases:  for instance, if you enroll one new coaching client per month and charge $200 for an intake fee, then you just increased your salary by $200 per month!  Every wonder about how to get life coach clients to voluntarily help you increase your life coaching salary?  Just charge an intake fee!

2.  You capture the most $$$ per client at the best time (strike while the iron is hot!):  let’s get real… coaching clients are the ‘hottest’ to spend some money with you when they first sign up for coaching.  That’s the time when they are most excited about getting your coaching information and services, so you need to capitalize on that because it’s possible that a year from now they may not be so interested in paying more money for extra stuff.

3.  Because you CAN:  You know what they say about climbing the mountain?  It’s the same with the intake fee.  The fact is that as long as the intake fee is not overpriced, your new coaching client will never have a problem with paying your intake fee.  So if they would pretty much always pay your fee, why would you not take advantage of that?

4.  It helps you recoup the cost of your intake package:  If you are going to provide a nice intake package, then it will probably cost you a little bit of money, and therefore you can more than pay for that expense by charging an intake fee.

5.  It helps you recoup your time expense of the free session:  Like most coaches, you probably enrolled that client by running a free session with them, and you (of course) didn’t get paid for that free session, so why not get that time paid for by charging that intake fee?  Now (some of) your free sessions have become paid sessions!

The Ultimate Free Money for Your Life Coaching Salary: An Important Thought About How to Get Life Coach Clients Paying You More

When you think about how to get life coach clients to pay you more money and increase the value of the services you provide them, make sure you add the intake fee to your intake process when you sign up new coaching clients.  The intake fee will make a huge difference in your life coaching salary as well as your quality of your life coaching business as a whole.

Becoming a Relationship Coach Who Talks Their Talk: How it Can Make a Big Difference in Your Life Coaching Salary

June 1st, 2009

Do you think becoming a relationship coach who practices what they preach will affect your life coaching salary?  Or do you think just like church and state are separate in our government, in your career, what happens at home stays at home?

Start by Cleaning Up Your Own Life And See Changes in Your Life Coaching Salary

If you are thinking about becoming a relationship coach, or becoming a relationship coach with a better life coaching salary, you may want to start by cleaning up your own life and this is why.

Your clients will know:  If you are becoming a relationship coach, people will start asking about you and your relationships.  Don’t think you can hide it.  And if they think for a moment that your life is messed up, they aren’t going to help your life coaching salary increase.

You will know:  Even if your clients don’t ask, you will dread every call and your greatest fear will become whether this will be the call they ask the question.  And if you are not becoming a relationship coach who has confidence, your life coaching salary is not secure.

Your spouse will know:  Somehow, he or she will find out that you are becoming a relationship coach.  Then sparks will fly.  They won’t care if you are brining home a good life coaching salary if they feel you are ripping people off because after all…what do you know about relationships?

Becoming a Relationship Coach That Focuses on Their Own Relationships Takes Work

Face it.  Your life will be miserable if you have any integrity at all.  And if you don’t becoming a relationship coach is going to be a rough road uphill.  Forget about making a decent life coaching salary, and start looking for a part time job.  But if you start working on cleaning up things in your own relationship, and you will have a greater mastery over the tools you will need to help others.  Do you have to have it down perfectly?  Of course not, we are all works in progress.  But once you begin your own your journey you will have the confidence to make a difference in other people’s lives, because you have made a difference in your own.
