That’s right there are no coaching jobs. That is unless you aspire – and by the way this is a noble calling – to be a sports coach at the local high school or community college. That’s right, being a coach is not a job. It’s isn’t even a profession – like being just a doctor. It is a calling. Yes, a Calling, with a capital “C”. Get used to it, because that’s what it is.
A Job or a Profession or a Calling – either way, You Are One
That’s right, you are one, or you are not. It’s who you are and what you do. And if it’s not, you’ve probably read one too many “Great Jobs for the Next Millennium” articles. You know. Be honest with yourself. So, make up your mind. Am you, or am you not a coach. In your heart, you know. If you am (sorry I mean “are”) one then the job question becomes how can I do what I love and what I am called to do, and still pay the rent, keep the refrigerator more or less full, and still pay the utilities?
So Let’s Get beyond Coaching Jobs
Each of us, particularly in this day and age, needs to take responsibility for our own lives and our fortunes. That is the calling of the entrepreneur. So now setting aside the very concept of coaching jobs, identify those people who can best benefit from your experience and your mastery of the art of coaching, and connect with them. That’s right, connect with them. Focus in on who they are; where they are; and how to connect with them. And then use your head and the latest technology to connect with them.
Focus Your Efforts for the Greatest Impact
So setting aside the whole concept of coaching jobs, and understanding that the Universe always pays back its obligations one-hundred fold, go out there and do what you know you are called to do. Find those to whom you are called and those who are called to you. And open up your heart and mind to them. And doing so, know that you will pay the rent, the refrigerator will be filled to over flowing and somehow the utilities will be paid.
