What is a Coaching Mastermind? Beyond Coach Training
Coaching Mastermind The Most Powerful Coach Training For Coaching Business Success
e
A coaching mastermind is a group of coaches that come together for ongoing coach training and the mutual benefit of the coaches. A coaching mastermind delivers results by discussion and ‘putting their minds together’, thus the term ‘mastermind’. Real coach training genius can come from more than one coach thinking about how to build their life coaching practices.
I Need More Than Coach Training? Why is This ‘Coaching Mastermind’ Principle so Important?
e
Napoleon Hill taught me why the coaching mastermind principle is so important in a very famous book called, ‘ Think and Grow Rich ‘. Hill felt that the Mastermind was so crucial he dedicated an entire chapter in the book to the concept.
Hill said that, in fact, the Mastermind is so important that if you didn’t have one, then you COULDN’T be successful… that it was literally IMPOSSIBLE to be successful!
Here’s a quote from Think and Grow Rich:
“No individual may have great power without availing himself of the Mastermind. Great power can be accumulated through NO OTHER PRINCIPLE.”
After reading this, I realized that my success as a coach has come because of coaching mastermind that I’ve had in my life, and I realized that not everyone has been so lucky. Most coaches just go through one coach training and then they are ‘done’ getting the development and support they need to grow their coaching businesses.
What Does a Coaching Mastermind Provide You That Coach Training Doesn’t?
e
Accountability:
With a coaching mastermind group that’s behind you and watching your performance, there is always a certain amount of accountability and peer pressure to follow through and show up powerfully.
Motivation:
Your coaching mastermind will motivate you by continuing the discussion about the things you need to do to get the results you want. Sometimes, a lot of ‘talk’ is needed before you ‘walk your talk’.
Confidence / Faith:
The belief your coaching mastermind has in YOU, the METHODS you’re going to use, and WHAT’S POSSIBLE makes all the difference. What others believe, you’ll tend to believe as well.
Insight / Education:
When you first learn a new concept, it’s hard to understand. Your mastermind can help you understand by telling you about the concept from different perspectives. When a group discusses something, it becomes more understandable to us. Also, when we have a chance to teach something, we learn the concept more deeply.
An Audience:
When you have an audience, life can be more fun. Every coach deserves to get an acknowledgement and some applause from time to time.
If you are a coach and you don’t currently have a coaching mastermind, then get into one immediately. It takes more than just a bit of coach training to be successful in your coaching practice, and the mastermind is one key to that success.
